Cool Tool of the week-Widgetbox

Date October 12, 2007

Widgetbox allows you to create your own custom widgets and then track who clicks it at their site. You can create one for your own blog, called a Blidget, develop your own or choose from thousands already listed in their gallery. They are all fully customizable, even after they have been submitted to the gallery. You can create your own MixIt which incorporates any ITunes mix into your own custom widget. Another nice feature is that you have the options of saving any widget, copying the script to paste yourself, or using their automated poster (click on ‘Get Widget” below to see it) that will place it in the following Blogs for you:

Blogger
MySpace
Facebook
NetVibes
Pageflakes
Google
FreeWebs
Hi5
Piczo

This is the Blidget I created for NetFreeInfo.

Feel free to add it to your blog with the link above. (hint, hint)
You can develop a facebook app with the tool provided and then share your blidget with your facebook groups and friends If your list is large, you could go viral in a hurry. Can you smell the traffic?
Oh yeah, I almost forgot….free.
Check it out.
